Florida Staffing Association Wins National Merit Award-October 26, 2009

The Florida Staffing Association was honored at Staffing World® 2009, the annual convention and expo of the American Staffing Association, held ASA2009AwardOct. 20–23 in Orlando. FSA received a Merit award for its outstanding programs and chapter efforts in 2009.

FSA president Adam Mainzer, TSC, CSP, accepted the award from ASA chairman Bill Stoller, CSP, CPC, at a special award ceremony during the convention.

ASA evaluated state associations on their support of the staffing industry through chapter meetings, special events, educational seminars, government relations activities, and community outreach efforts, and honored the chapters with the most outstanding programs with merit awards.

FSA is an association for staffing companies in Florida. The staffing industry in Florida employs 590,496 temporary and contract employees per year.

ASA represents the $86 billion U.S. staffing industry. Member companies operate more than 15,000 offices across the nation and account for 85% of U.S. industry sales.

Florida Association Wins National Awards


The Florida Staffing Association was honored at Staffing World 2007, the annual convention and expo of the American Staffing Association, held October 9–12 in San Antonio. FSA received a superior merit award for its outstanding programs and chapter efforts in 2007. It also received a merit award for its outstanding legislative efforts.

FSA president Brian Mangines of Auslin Legal Staffing, Boca Raton accepted the awards from ASA chairman Pat Rohe, partner at Custom Staffing.

The American Staffing Association evaluated state associations on their support of the staffing industry through chapter meetings, special events, educational seminars, and community outreach efforts.

State staffing associations that won legislative merit awards were those that took positive and effective steps to make sure legislators understand the role of flexible jobs and how the staffing industry benefits the economy. These steps included face-to-face meetings, testimony at legislative hearings, letter-writing campaigns, state Capitol Hill days, and political activities.

FSA is a statewide association of staffing companies in Florida. The staffing industry in Florida employs 676,249 temporary and contract employees per year.

ASA represents the $87 billion U.S. staffing industry. Member companies operate more than 15,000 offices across the nation and account for 85% of US Industry Sales.
